FML-TRACK demonstration is running !

Since June 2020, SUEZ Rivages Pro Tech, the Fundation AZTI and Telespazio France are running the demonstration of the innovative solution to track floating marine litter in the coastal and nearshore areas : the FML-TRACK service.

The prototype FML-TRACK solution is a downstream service of the Copernicus Marine Service, which combines an ensemble of new technologies to fight against marine litter pollution by allowing to detect and track floating litter across the coastal ocean.

FML-TRACK demonstration is conducted in the framework of the User Uptake program 110-UU-DEM5-CMEMS of the Copernicus Marine Service. It is based on results from the former LIFE LEMA project, which are further complemented and enriched thanks to the added-value brought by data from the Copernicus Marine Service.

The FML-TRACK demonstration is conducted in collaboration with pilot end-users Communauté d’Agglomération Pays Basque, Ville de Biarritz and Diputacion Foral de Gipuzkoa.
